White Dwarf 491 (Aug 23)

White Dwarf 491 is a proper snapshot of August 2023 the issue that shipped with the double-sided rules reference sheet for the then-new 10th Edition of Warhammer 40,000, plus two Bunker mission cards for 40K and Age of Sigmar. Inside, the Horus Heresy gets a fresh gallery of Inductii recruits, the studio’s Combat Patrol League runs at full tilt, and Blood Bowl’s Forge Bowl saga reaches its conclusion. Black Library rounds it off with “The Light of the Emperor” a Darius Hinks short story of Ultramarines defending a band of zealots from rampaging Tyranids.

Best for

• 40K players wanting the 10th Edition rules reference insert

Back issues like this don’t get reprinted, so a spare on the shelf is never wasted especially one with a genuinely useful card insert still in it.
