Ultimate Guard Sidewinder 80+ Magic: The Gathering – Mox Ruby

Red has never been a colour that waits, and Mox Ruby is the reason why free red mana on turn one, which turns a merely quick draw into an indecently fast one. Ultimate Guard has put it in gold foil on the lid of a Sidewinder 80+, over deep tooled leatherette, and the result is a deck case with rather more presence than the deck inside probably deserves.

What’s in the box

• One Sidewinder 80+ side-loading deck case
• Holds 80+ double-sleeved standard-size cards
• Magnetic flap closure that snaps shut and stays shut
• Gold-foil Mox Ruby sigil on the lid, with the Magic planeswalker symbol on the side
• Textured leatherette exterior over a soft pale inner lining
• Officially licensed Magic: The Gathering product

Best for

• Commander, Modern and Legacy decks that live in double sleeves
• Side-loading, so you slide the deck out rather than upending the whole box
• Mono-red decks that finish games before the box has finished closing

All five Moxen lined up is a proper display piece and considerably easier on the wallet than chasing the actual cards. Ruby tends to be the one people point at.
